The Counseling services of Candlelighters International (CI) is a ministry that exists to provide biblical counseling and guidance to person(s) and families experiencing difficulties in various aspects of their lives and relationships.

This service exists to help serve you and bring you towards a healthier relationship with God and others through the power of the Holy Spirit (Psalm 32:8).

In order to glorify Christ Jesus and to bring the light, love, hope, and warmth of Christ to the suffering and hurting, this service, through our diverse experts, utilizes a faith-based restorative programmatic approach towards assisting people and families.

Biblical Counseling

At CI, we understand that Biblical counseling is based on the premise that God, as Creator, has solutions to man’s brokenness, and that the restorative solutions He might choose to grant in every challenging situation is based on His providence and timing. God’ solutions are always more effective than those devised by man (Colossians 2:1-10).

We also work within the premise that the solutions for man’s brokenness and the guidance for living a full life in the joy of the Holy Spirit, are found in God’s Word. Our counselors are first dependent on the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; John 16:13), prayer and the Scripture to guide and lead them in bringing effective support to people they attend to (James 3:17).

As a resource center, the general activities of CI provide other Biblically-based topical studies, activities, trainings and communities, that make such a faith-based restorative programmatic Biblical Counseling distinctively different from the other approaches of counseling.

Areas of Action

We address not only physical, but emotional, spiritual and economic needs, in areas such as:

1. Sexual Exploitation: Rape, prostitution, trafficking, etc.
2. Mental Health Issues: Depression, anxiety, sleep disturbances, substance abuse and other forms of addiction, bipolar disorder, etc.
3. Marriage Counseling: pre-marital, marital, divorce, etc.
   
4. Juvenile delinquency
5. Diverse forms of harassment
