Who We Are

We are a network of believers, pulling together our resources (talents, skills, calling, ministries, etc.) for the general service of the Body of Christ. As a faith community within a community of faith, we recognize that the gospel message of Jesus Christ has power to change a person’s life for good and transform communities. Yet, with societal moral decay, we are of the opinion that there must be something wrong with the so-called Christian message that is being preached, understood and implemented in our societies today.

For this reason, in order to access the truth proper to the Word of God as revealed by the Holy Spirit in relation to the Holy Scriptures, we have decided to encourage one another to plunge back to the root of the Word of God (its teachings and precepts) vital for our daily lives and relationships.

We believe in the Priesthood of All Believers. Hence, believers should work out their salvation with the love and the fear of God. As such, building a bridge between generations is a central part of our commission. Our idea is not to establish a church, seminary or a Bible institute, but by the grace of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit, to establish a platform or a center vital in directing and producing empowered individuals who understand how to live a healthy life in the joy of the Holy Ghost. We are therefore actively engaged in identifying ways to better support Christians for the purpose of their personal edification.

We also look for ways to help Christians increase their time spent in the presence of God: either through reading of the Scripture and/or praying. These actions are central in order to build a stronger relationship with God almighty, while demonstrating a Christ-like character worthy to be called “Christians”.

We understand that there are some basic mysteries specific to Christianity and its message that serves as a helpful foundational frame to situating mankind in a solid relationship with God, and understanding who He is towards us, How He relates with us, etc. We consider these Core Mysteries to be:

The Mystery of Iniquity

Within the Divine Plan of God for our lives, these Mysteries constitutes the 7 core foundational frames within which we endeavor to understand and practicalize our calling as children of God.

The 7 foundational-mystery considerations of Candlelighters International are built around the idea that God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Kingdom of God, Righteousness, and Iniquity, can be understood by humans, to the extent possible and permitted by God to each one of us.

As Candle-lighters, our consideration of the above issues, within the context of a mystery, is simply with the understanding that God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Kingdom of God, Prayer, Righteousness, and Iniquity, presents features or qualities so obscure and puzzlingly unsettling that to a large extent they give rise to curiosity and speculation. They are considered mysteries because they are considerations that are knowable by divine revelation. The extent of divine revelation and understanding of these mysteries is based on how each human relates with the living Word of God (Logos) revealed in the Bible, and how they align with and to the Rhema that the Holy Spirit reveals to them according to their purpose and calling unto the Earth realm.

Within this understanding, the summaries of the 7 mysteries is in no way considered as the complete explanation, but it serves as a pointer towards our joint engagement with the persons, person, idea, concept, law, or structures pertaining to.

We hope that you will join us to unpeel these mysteries and reveal to humanity what and how an understanding of a part of these mysteries could positively influence our lives and our communities.

Like the Word of God puts it, we wish to create a situation or environment within which Iron sharpens Iron; and deep calls out for deep.
